Why Peva? Peva is part of the Caraselle Moth Solution because the material used is man-made and female moths will only lay eggs in natural fibres, thereby Peva provides a protective barrier against Moths.
Being part of the Caraselle Moth Solution, it should be used in conjunction with Moth Deterrents/Killers. Moth damage is the direct result of the female moth laying her eggs in natural fibres, when the eggs/larvae hatch, to grow, they feed on the fibres & thereby create holes in your garments. Clothes moth larvae (it's the larvae that does the damage to your valuable clothes, not the adult Moths), feed exclusively on natural fibres.

We would also advise that you declutter your wardrobe as best as you can. Moths like to lay their eggs in dark and undisturbed places. It is the Moth larvae, when hatched, that do all the terrible damage to your clothes so by having less clothes in the wardrobe, using our Peva Covers, having a space between each garment and putting our Orphea Anti Moth Strips or Acana Hanging Moth Killers in there too, you will drastically reduce the possibility of moth damage.

FAQs
Does a Peva Cover stop clothes moths?
The cover provides an important barrier against Moths - think of it as a physical layer of protection, being a man-made fabric (Moth larvae feed on natural fabrics), but we would not rely on any garment cover as the sole response to an active moth problem. Combine it with clean storage, regular inspection and suitable moth-control products.
Which is better for valuable garments — Cotton or PEVA?
Neither is universally "better." Cotton is ideal when breathability is the main priority; PEVA is excellent when you want a practical enclosed protective barrier. The best choice depends on the garment and how it is being stored. Read our article: Cotton vs. Peva Garment Covers
Should I put dirty or recently worn clothes into the cover?
No. Garments should be cleaned before storage. Moths can be attracted to organic residues left on fabrics, so storing clothes clean is an important preventative step.
Will it fit short dresses too?
The cover measures approximately 99 x 60cms ( 39” x 24” ) so we recommend measuring your garment to ensure it fits these dimensions.
